You can always rely on Tim Blair's cyber-friends to come up with poor taste, murderous, racist and/or bigoted nonsense. In announcing the arrest of a 39 year old in relation to alleged acts of arson leading to at least one of the Victorian bushfires, Blair and his colleagues at the Daily Telegraph allowed this comment to be posted:
Just tell the mob he’s a Palestinian. That’ll justify any amount of murder.

The comment relates to a mob which assembled outside the police station where the man was being apprehended. Charming stuff.
UPDATE I: A further comment promotes the "forest jihad" thesis that senior Tele columnist Piers Akerman was suggesting earlier in the week ...
Reminds one of this from last year.

So you posted some shit on Tim Blair's blog in order to cry wolf, Irfan?
You are a genius!
If this was some random blog, I wouldn't bother. But this is a blog written and moderated by the Opinion Editor of Sydney's largest selling newspaper and hosted by one of the largest media organisations in the world.
Just to clarify - I wrote that comment and it means:
if you tell the mob he's Palestinian, they will understand and let him off because when a Palestinian commits murder it always seems to be excused.
That's all.
And when Gough Whitlam said "Well may we say 'God save the queen'..." he was only talking about introducing homosexual anti-vilification legislation.
That's all.
Well, i posted my explanation of that comment earlier today and Irf has still not corrected the misleading headline.
Good to know you don't give a crap about accuracy, Irf. I won't bother posting here again.
You stay nice and safe in your sewer.
"Dowp", you anti-racism hero. You corrected it 13 days after you first wrote it and 13 days after it appeared on this blog. I'm so impressed. Would you like a Nobel Prize for Literature?
You might make sure Tim Blair knows about your sincere intentions. Because he told me he strongly suspected you were an anonymous lefty leaving a nasty message to make him look more racist than he actually is.
