VIDEO: Gaza - The Road to War

This two-part documentary presents a relatively balanced outline of Israel's engagement, disengagement, re-engagement and current bombardment of Gaza. It provides an explanation of Israel's enforcement of its legitimate security concerns in Lebanon and Gaza. The political and economic context is also covered, including the Palestinian elections and the international community's response to same.

Here is the text that accompanies the video:

The people of the Gaza Strip - one of the world's most densely populated strips of land - have experienced it all: military occupation, civil war, an economic blockade and international isolation. Yet back in 2005, Gazans celebrated a new era of peace and even prosperity. So, how did it all go so wrong? Gaza: The road to war investigates.

VIDEO: No one can accuse Israel of targetting civilians ...

We must take for granted that Israeli spokespeople like Mark Regev are telling the truth when they say Israel simply does not target civilians. The children shown in this video are clearly acting. The Red Cross and Red Crescent are lying. Al Jazeera English are making it all up. Groups like B'Tselem are just self-hating Jews. It's a giant anti-Semitic conspiracy.

Anyway, back to the real world, here is the text accompanying this Al Jazeera English video ...

The International Committe for the Red Cross alleged that the Israeli army had refused to let them help a family trapped in a shelled house.

When paramedics were granted access, they say what they found was shocking: starving children were sitting beside the bodies of their dead parents and family.

Al Jazeera's Sherine Tadros has gained exclusive access to the survivors.
